II downloaded the cloudera VM image from the tutorial. I'm not seeing the same files when I uncompress the tar file (cloudera-training-0.2.1.tar.bz2). There is no cloudera-training-0.2.vmdk. Instead there are a number of vmdk files with different indexes.

Perhaps they changed the way it's set up in 0.2.1. I haven't worked with that one yet, but I'll download it soon and give it a try. I'm hoping to rewrite this anyway with screenshots, so that will be a good opportunity to do so.

Hey thanks a lot for your post. I was really bumbed they were all vmware images. Had no idea virtualbox was this awesome.

The correct file to mount in the latest version is cloudera-training-0.2-cl2.vmdk
Or at least that worked for me.
